Ben Kiger - Girls BasketballCoach Ben Kiger will enter his 1st season as Head Girl’s Basketball Coach at Holden High School. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and went back for his certification to teach at SEMO. Coach Kiger is certified in Special Education K-12 and Mathematics 6-9.
Coach Kiger has 14 years of coaching experience. For the previous 14 years, he has been the assistant coach in the boys program for 5 years and the girls program for 9 years. Holden has been conference champs 4 times while Coach Kiger assisted for Coach Wescott and Coach Castle. Coach Kiger was a baseball coach for one year. Coach Kiger resides in Warrensburg, MO with his two children. In his spare time, Coach Kiger enjoys spending time with his youngest, Hannah, and buying and selling antiques. Coach Kiger is very excited to take over a Holden girl’s basketball program that has a rich history of success. |
Kristie Gudde - CheerleadingCoach Kristi Gudde is in her 7th year as Head Cheerleading Coach at a Holden High School. She is a graduate of Central Missouri State University (now UCM) with a double Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. She has her Master's degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.
Coach Gudde has 17 years of coaching experience. She began as the Head Dance Team Coach at Notre Dame de Sion in 2000. She then started the Dance Team program at Odessa High School in 2002 and coached there for 9 years. Coach Gudde moved to Holden in 2012 and became the Head Cheerleading Coach in 2013. She has been an elementary teacher for 16 years and has taught Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. She is currently a 2nd grade teacher. Throughout her time as a Holden High School Coach, she has lead the team to two Regional 1st place finishes and one 2nd place Regional finish. She also took the team to the State level competition for three years in a row. Coach Gudde is married to her husband, Spencer. He is the Head Track and Field Coach at Holden High School and the Assistant Cross Country Coach. They have one child, Camille. Camille is a student at Holden High School and enjoys being an active participant on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams as well as a member of Math team. They reside in Holden with their dog, Snickers. |
Spencer Gudde - Track and FieldCoach Spencer Gudde is in his 7th year as the Head Track and Field Coach at Holden High School. He is a graduate of Central Missouri State University (now UCM) with a Bachelors' degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.
Coach Gudde has 18 years of experience coaching Track and Field at the high school level. He has coached at Holden High School for all 17 of those years. During this time, he has taught high school math. In addition to his duties as the Head Track and Field Coach, Coach Gudde was also an Assistant Football Coach for 15 years and has recently started coaching Cross Country where the girls team took 2nd Place is the state competition in 2016. He was also a Wrestling Coach for 5 years of which 4 of those he served as the Head Coach. Coach Gudde is married to his beautiful wife, Kristi. She is the Head Cheer Coach at Holden High School, and they have one child, Camille. Camille is a student at Holden High School and active on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams. |

Matt Habermehl - SoftballMatt Habermehl is in his 6th year as the Head Softball at Holden High School. He is a graduate of Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. At Missouri Southern, he was a member of Men’s Basketball and Baseball team. Matt also has a Master's Degree from Central Missouri State University in Sports Management.
Coach Habermehl has 12 years of experience coaching at the high school level. He has coached at Knob Noster, Van Horn, and McAuley Catholic during that time. He has taught for 10 years teaching high school math and middle school PE. Matt also has experience coaching volleyball, baseball, and golf. The softball program has had a winning season every year under Coach Habermehl, including a district championship and two runner ups. Coach Habermehl is married to his beautiful wife, Angela. She is a NICU nurse at St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza, and they have two children, Summer and Minnie. |

Andy Weldon - BandMr. Andy Weldon is in his 4th year as Band Director at Holden. Responsibilities include directing all bands at the middle school, leading the Holden Eagles Pride Marching Band in the fall, conducting the jazz and concert bands, and bringing the pep band to basketball games. His degrees includes a Bachelor of Music Education from Missouri State University, a Master of Arts in Music from UCM, and a Education Specialist in Secondary Principal from UCM.
Mr. Weldon has 13 years teaching experience in Brunswick, Salem, and Leeton before coming to Holden 2 years ago. Having taught band, marching band, choir, and guitars at all levels K-12, as well as teaching a dual credit Music Appreciation class through UCM, Mr. Weldon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the music department. Mr. Weldon is married to his beautiful wife, Amy, who is the 3-5 Music teacher at Sterling Elementary in Warrensburg. He and his family reside in Warrensburg with their three daughters Sophia (7), Zoey (4) and Emma (1). |

Sally Burnett - Student CouncilSally Burnett is in her 13th year at Holden High School. She is a graduate of Central Missouri State University (now UCM) with a bachelor’s degree in History, a minor in Business Administration and a master’s degree.
Mrs. Burnett has been a Student Council advisor for 19 years, 11 of those at Holden High School. While at Holden, Mrs. Burnett, who is certified in Social Studies and Business Education, has taught a variety of classes from Dual Credit Personal Finance to Student Leadership and Development. In 2013, Mrs. Burnett was recognized as the Missouri Council of Social Studies High School Teacher of the Year. In 2014, Mrs. Burnett was recognized by the National JumpStart Coalition as an innovative educator in financial literacy. Prior to coming to Holden, Mrs. Burnett taught and served as Student Council Advisor and Scholar Bowl Head Coach at Crest Ridge High School. Mrs. Burnett has also served as Holden FBLA Advisor and Assistant Scholar Bowl Coach. She currently serves as Vice President of Missouri FBLA-PBL Professional Division. Holden Student Council, a proud member of the Missouri Association of Student Councils (MASC), has achieved Gold Level Honor Council status at the state level for the past 11 years. In 2017-2018, Brock Stanfield was the first Holden student to receive the honor of MASC Outstanding Student Leader Award at the state level. Holden Student Council is also a staunch supporter of Holden Special Olympic athletes and Special Olympics Missouri. Mrs. Burnett is married to the enigmatic Mike Burnett. They are the proud parents of Northwest Missouri State Bearcats Rachel and Patty. In her spare time, Mrs. Burnett enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, cooking and fishing. |
